Crochet, Knit, Sew, Donate helps people find organizations where they can donate their made-with-love creations and helps organizations find people who love to donate handmade items.
ABOUT
Crochet, Knit, Sew, Donate is a Facebook group started by Glenda Poulter in October, 2021, in order to help people across the country find organizations in their community to which they can donate their made-with-love items.
The group has grown in leaps and bounds, and, as of mid-October, 2022, has over 900 members and over two-thousand organizations looking for donations in 48 states and DC.
The members of CKSD are talented crocheters, knitters, sewers, quilters, and weavers who work independently of the group. The group itself does not collect, nor does it distribute donations. Each member chooses the organizations to which they wish to donate and is responsible for contacting them and setting up the donations.
Group membership is open to anyone living in the United States.

Everyday, Glenda contacts organizations in locations where the group has members and invites them to be one of the group's listed organizations. She posts new organizations both to the group feed and to databases she maintains for each state.
She also contacts local yarn, fabric, and quilt stores and invites them to be Featured Stores in exchange for helping spread CKSD's word through their social media and by displaying business cards for the group in their stores.

A SMART Rescue serves North Harris and Montgomery Counties, Texas. We are dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty, the relief of animal suffering, and the promotion of education on the humane treatment of animals. It is our policy to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing our protection in the area served by the organization; to return lost pets to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners; to relieve the suffering of animals in our care when necessary.
